Brampton Select Baseball: Commitment, Travel & Tryouts

Current published structure

BMBI says Select teams play in COBA and describes an approximately 24-game league schedule over about 16 weeks, with roughly half the games in Brampton and the remainder in neighbouring cities.

Tournaments and travel

The association says Select teams usually play 4–6 weekend tournaments during the summer, with some involving travel or overnight stays, plus possible playoff/provincial pathways.

Off-season commitment

BMBI’s Select page says most teams practice 1–2 times per week during the indoor off-season from October to April. Facility arrangements can change, so verify the current team plan.

Published budget range

BMBI currently publishes team budgets of approximately $800–$1,500 per player per year for Select, including items such as uniforms, training equipment, facility rentals and tournaments. Treat this as an association-published range, not a guaranteed total family cost.

Who should consider Select

Select makes sense when the player wants a more competitive environment and the family wants travel baseball but is still comparing the intensity of Rep.
